Meet the team

Simon and Luke – Joint Directors and Technicians
Simon and Luke have worked together in the motorcycle trade for many years (formerly at Motorcycle Technics), they have a good working relationship and are great friends. They took the plunge and set up by themselves forming Mototechniks in December 2005 and haven't looked back since.

Simon owns a Ducati 996S, a Yamaha WR450, Yamaha YZF250F and is currently working on a special project – a 2009 Honda Fireblade which, with Simons' reputation for attention to detail, will be the 'Dogs Dangleys' when it's finished! Simon's son Charlie currently rides a Ducati replica Kiddimoto and looks like following in his dad's footsteps!

Luke began motorcycling with schoolboy motocross (Norfolk and Suffolk) and competed from the age of 12-16 years. He achieved a good level of success and was always in the top 10. He also has road racing experience coming 2nd in the BMCRC Rookie 600 Southern Championships in 2002 riding a Suzuki GSXR600K1. Luke currently rides a 2007 Suzuki GSXR750 and along with his girlfriend Megs, enjoyed a riding holiday to the South of France last year.

Will – Technician
Will lives and breathes Motocross! He currently owns a 2009 Kawasaki KXF250 and races alongside his brother Ed in the Eastern MX championships – Go Team Pooley!

Simon, Luke and Will all own motocross bikes and enjoy their Sunday blasts to let off steam around local motocross tracks.

Vera – Stores/Human Motorcycle Encyclopaedia!
Vera has worked in the trade for many years (we won't say how many!), working previously for Revetts and then jointly owning Motorcycle Technics. Vera is officially retired but luckily for us, she comes in and works part time. Vera is Stowmarket MCC Club Secretary and along with husband Jack travels all over the world as part of the Support Crew for the ISDE (International Six Day Enduro). Vera currently rides a BMW F650GS twin.

Sally – Stores/Shop/Website
Sally works part time in the busy shop and parts department on Fridays/Saturdays and keeps everything up to date on the website. She has previously worked at both Revetts and Motorcycle Technics. During the week, Sally is a busy Pet Behaviourist (www.pet-behaviour.com). Sally currently rides a 2003 Kawasaki ZXR636 and enjoys going to trackdays with her partner Mike. Sally is a huge bike racing fan (to the point of obsession!) especially WSB and Moto GP.

Matt – Stores/Shop
Matt joined us last year and works full time. He hasn't passed his car test yet but doesn't care because he has his Honda RVF400! Matt is saving up for a 600 but insurance costs mean that he may have to wait a while (crasher!). He also has weird taste in crash helmets!

Harry – Saturday Boy
Harry comes in and works for us every Saturday. He is also a keen motocrosser. Harry started off doing schoolboy grasstrack and went on to small wheel schoolboy motocross. He then progressed onto big wheel motocross and currently rides and races a 2009 Honda CRF250. He can now (after a bit of tuition!) make quite a good cup of tea!

Arthur – Security/Customer Liason
Arthur is a very friendly Springer Spaniel who often comes to work with Simon (in the van, not on the bike!) and gives all our customers a very warm welcome. When he's not running around trying to get people to throw things for him, he can be found snoozing under Simon's bench.

Helen and Megs
Helen and Megs are Simon and Luke's better halves and have helped out at many trade shows and motorcycle events. Helen often makes tea or goes off to get us all lunch when we are flat out in the shop on Saturdays!
